COMPASS Companions are a family of AI powered digital guides, designed help individuals and families learn and practice conflict resolution. Based on the concepts from The Compassion Course and The Compassion Book by Thom Bond, COMPASS Companions offer a unique, educational and problem-solving tool for individuals and families to resolve inner and outer conflicts in their daily lives.

Rooted in the Work of Marshall Rosenberg, Albert Ellis and Werner Erhardt

The design and programming of all the COMPASS Companions is informed, in large part, by Thom Bond’s long-standing relationship with Marshall Rosenberg, the pioneer of Nonviolent Communication. Bond’s mentorship and friendship with Rosenberg began in 2002 and continued until Rosenberg's passing in 2015. COMPASS Companions also draw from Thom Bond’s years of experience studying the work of Werner Erhard and his personal mentorship under Albert Ellis, the founder of Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT). Bond’s exposure to these innovative thought leaders has enriched his understanding of human psychology and communication, contributing to the creation of an AI chatbot that offers users a truly holistic and transformative experience.

A Global In-person Practicing Community

Thom Bond’s work has reached millions of people worldwide. His signature program, The Compassion Course, has an active participant and alumni community of over 40,000 people across 120 countries, practicing in more than 20 languages. The course and the COMPASS companions are based in the principles of “Needs Awareness”, providing people from all walks of life with tools to navigate their emotional landscapes and build relationships with more empathy and understanding. COMPASS Companions members can join the Global Compassion Network and connect with like-hearted individuals around the globe. Click here for more about the Compassion Course,
